2027 MCI Competition Licences: Adult Fee Reduced to €195
At today’s Motorcycling Ireland AGM, it was announced that the annual adult competition licence fee for 2027 will be €195, while the Youth competition licence fee will remain at €50.
The 2027 adult licence fee represents a reduction of approximately 45% from this year’s €350 fee.
Over recent months, the MCI Board has worked with insurers to secure a significantly lower premium than the one agreed when MCI activities resumed at the start of 2026.
The Trials Management Committee thanks the MCI Board for its work and commitment and welcomes this very positive outcome, which has resulted in a substantially reduced licence fee for 2027.
At a time of continued cost-of-living pressures, this reduction will benefit existing licence holders when they renew and, we hope, encourage more riders to take out competition licences in 2027 and beyond.
The Clubs and Trials Management Committee remain fully committed to delivering a busy calendar of events in 2027. The calendar is updated monthly and is available on the Trials Ireland calendar page.
